Previous civic engagement
I first began volunteering by assisting area organizations designing event posters and marketing materials and then by assisting Ben McCrory and Mary Lou Williams with general PR for the Montevallo Chamber of Commerce. Since then, I have worked on several community projects including helping First Baptist and city leaders with tornado relief efforts for communities in 2011. Working on a project like that showed me what incredible people this community is made up of.
